25th Anniversary of House

25 years ago, one record changed the course of dance music, ‘On & On’ by Jesse Saunders is regarded as the first House record.

With this anniversary comes an event that shouldn’t be missed. A tribute to the sound we all love, by the man himself..

I can’t think of one genre of music that has taken my interest as much as house music. With this in mind, the next party being thrown by LILO in JHB should be one to really go to.

We’ll be there, considering it’s the day after my birthday, so feel free to buy us a drink or two.

  2. Free Unreleased Small Flowers EP for Deeper readers

    Dear Deeper,

First and foremost, I wanted to thank you for your time and let you know that I thoroughly enjoy reading Deeper.

A group that I am working with, Small Flowers, would like to offer the readers of Deeper a free download of their freshman EP before it is released to the public. The album will be physically released in about a month with limited edition art work by Rachael Rendon. We want the readers of Deeper to have the EP before it is on iTunes, and before it is on Soundcloud.

    The EP features:
guest vocals by Tre Hardsen of the Pharcyde http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slimkid3,
earth harp by William Close http://www.earthharp.com/
    saxaphone by Jason Hemmings
    vocals by Molly Roth http://www.mollyrothmusic.com
You can stream/download the EP here: http://smallflowersmusic.com/Small_Flowers/Blogs.html

Small Flowers is also available for interviews or any other collaborations/opportunities. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at anytime.

    Thanks for supporting great music,
    Craig Phelps

Becoming unglued from the ivory façade and embracing the places in society that rarely see the light of day, the members of Small Flowers are transforming mire into baby making poetry. Inspired by all things boom bap, salient, and subterranean; the opaque faces that comprise Small Flowers have punctured the collective western ventricle and vigorously documented the flotsam.
