Maybe its time to go?

This site costs money, a lot of money to keep alive. We dont do it to make money, or to rip of the artists who make the tracks we play. We do it as house is dying and hardly anyone is playing the music anymore.
Where else can you hear the older tracks being spun? Where else do you hear songs which have been forgotten by the large labels and distrubution sites?

I received this email from a man i totally respected, Ed "The Red" from Bottom Line Records:

Hi
I noticed that you are allowing downloads of mixes that include my copyrighted music:(http://deeper.co.za/mixes/that_sound.html my songs are "the sound of redness" and "brooklyn underground"). I really don't appreciate people giving my music away for free after I spent a lot of time and money making it, manufacturing and marketing it. I and a lot of other producers stopped producing house music, because it became impossible to make a living at it because of this piracy. But I'm still the legal copyright owner of these tracks and I request that you stop letting people download my music.

This couldnt be further from the truth.

I'm taking the site down for a while to think about where we are going. House is struggling at the moment and with people like Ed who see the Internet as a threat to a already dying genre, im not sure if i want to be part of that.
